Fundraisers
Make donations and purchase fundraiser items at: SSHS Music Boosters Online Store
South Salem Music Boosters help our students and our community by sponsoring numerous fundraisers each year in partnership with local businesses and organizations. For many of our fundraisers students can use the funds they raise to pay for things like private lessons, trips, music, and other expenses. Supporters may also direct their purchases toward benefiting a specific music program, all our music programs, or our Lesson Fund to expand access to private lessons for more South music students.
LESSON FUND (ON-GOING)
The Lesson Fund makes private instrument and voice lessons possible for more of our music students. This scholarship fund is the brainchild of our music teachers, who typically have many interested students.
- Donations to the Lesson Fund can be specified when donating through the South Salem Music Boosters’ PayPal link on our home page or through our SSHS Music Boosters Online Store
CONCERT ADMISSION DONATIONS (ON-GOING)
Concerts for all ensembles at South Salem High School are free to the public. We ask that individuals who are able consider donating what they are able as a "ticket price" donation to all three music programs (i.e., band, choir, and orchestra). We regularly staff concerts to provide this opportunity to attendees who wish to support the programs in a tangible way. Requires 2-4 volunteers at concerts.

BOTTLE DROP (ON-GOING)
Pick up a blue bag at concerts, from directors or from our coordinator to save your bottles and cans in throughout the year. The redemption center is at the Bottle Drop here in Salem. Money is earned for all three music programs at South Salem High School.

MUSIC DAY (SEPTEMBER)
South Salem High School music students participate in the Salem-Keizer School District’s annual Music Day. Music Day is an annual day-of-giving for high school music. It involves students going door-to-door in their high school’s feeder neighborhoods to raise awareness, build community support, and collect donations for their music programs. Booster volunteers organize and support this annual event. Music Day is our biggest fundraiser of the year in support of the fantastic music programs at South Salem High School!
